Service comes alive through custom design…your custom log home design. All Sierra projects are custom designed to meet all of your architectural, personal and budgetary needs. The excitement of design is accomplished through 3D photo-realism…a technology that Sierra excels and leads in. Just another way Sierra has developed a better way to communicate. These surreal images, catalogued on the internet, portray what your log home will look like when it is finished. Knowing all that there is to know about your log home design before it is built is what we are after…that is what makes this service and our unique attitude a great value.
Spruce/Pine logs of very low moisture and TPI graded for structural integrity (we also use seasoned Douglas Fir and seasoned Spruce/Pine for the handcrafted series). 

SIERRA MASTERCRAFT HANDCRAFTED LOG HOME SERIES 

Sierra brings to you the most beautiful naturally crafted log homes that can be created. Our talented craftsman tailor large logs onto one another using the full scribe method. This traditional method of log joinery creates a very beautiful, tight log wall that is weather-tight. Our client’s have the choice of Douglas Fir, Spruce or Lodge pole Pine log species to craft their home from. These large logs are dried slowly during the off-season and then beautifully hand peeled and TPI graded. Our gorgeous handcrafted homes are fully erected at our yards in Canada and soon in California also, delivered and re-erected on your foundation. It is quite remarkable how fast these massive beauties go up. For instance a 2500 sq ft 2 story home would re-erect in 2-3 days.

SIERRA CRAFTSMAN LOG HOME SERIES
(A milled uniform log crafted with a hand peel)
Sierra’s Craftsman Series is the most beautiful milled log produced. With logs that can be crafted up to 67’ long, we have the proud honor of being able to produce the premier format of a “NO BUTTE JOINT” full-length log wall. The Jumbo 13” log is the Sierra flagship of this line up. This log was invented by Sierra and was designed to be the most builder-friendly log to use. The beauty of this log is its size, its impressive look and its fasting stacking ability. With the surface hand peeled and the Swedish Cope carved into the bottom…this log will surprise you on how natural and un-machined it looks. In fact, no matter the size from 9”, 10”, 12” or our Jumbo 13”; these beautiful wall logs are just an absolute thrill to experience. The “Smart Cut” pre-cut is a standard in this series (described below).

SIERRA PROFFESSIONAL LOG HOME SERIES (solid wood format)

Sierra’s Professional Series is a beautifully profiled log produced in many shapes and sizes. These logs are typically produced in a random format (with pre-cut notches) in the shorter lengths for the ultimate in economy (“Smart Cut” is an option). The shapes include “D” logs (6x8, 8x8, 6x12 & 8x12), double “D” (8x8), Appalachian style (6x12 & 8x12), & Swedish Cope (6”, 7”, 8”, 9”, 10”, & 12”). These beautiful logs come pre-notched typically and use the same gasket and lagging methods as described below. Any of these logs can have the option of a hand peeled surface.

SIERRA ENGINEERED LOG HOME SERIES (Glue-Laminate wood format)

Sierra’s Glue-Laminated log is a beautifully profiled in a variety of shapes and sizes. Kiln dried boards are laminated together vertically to make up the log. The concept of this engineered wood is stability and perfection….these logs do not settle or check. Available in “D” logs (6x8, 8x8, 6x12 & 8x12), round (8x8), Appalachian style (6x12 & 8x12). These logs can be produced in random format with pre-cut notches or in a full pre-cut method and use the same gasket and lagging methods as described
